The Kalona Fire Chief says the cause of the fire at Nisly Wood Products cannot be determined.  Chief Steve Yotty has been working with the State Fire Marshall.  He says because of the extensive amount of heat and the amount of wood in the saw mill, the fire has been classified as undetermined.  The fire was discovered just before 6 Thursday morning and crews from Kalona, Wellman, Riverside and Washington along with Kalona First Responders and Washington County Ambulance responded. The structure that burned was next to the business’ main building and housed wood and equipment.
