The Washington City Council filled the Park Board vacancy and discussed a firearms resolution at last night’s meeting. Carol Ray will fill the vacancy on the City Park Board and her position will be up for reelection in November. A big topic of discussion was a resolution for the prohibition of firearms in city buildings. The council decided to table the resolution until their next meeting to have time to further study the resolution. The next City Council meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 2nd at 6:00 in the old public library.
