The Washington City Council is announcing a vacancy on the Park Board. The Council is asking for any interested candidates to submit letters by Friday, the 14th. City Clerk Illa Earnest says the candidate needs to live in Washington and present why they want to be on the park board. She says candidates will be interviewed by the Council before their regular meeting on January 19th. Earnest adds that the Council will select the candidate to fill the vacancy during the regular session that evening. This position on the Park Board is up for re-election in November 2011.
