Final radon testing at the Washington County Safety Center has been completed. County Supervisor Wes Rich says the testing was done last week and he is pleased with the results. Rich says the radon testing was conducted in the basement and in the crawl space above an office. He says the test results for the basement came back with a reading of 1.8 which is less than one-third of the previous reading. In the crawl space the reading was 1.4. Rich notes that according to the EPA, the level of concern is anything higher that 3.0. He adds with these levels, the employees of the Safety Center are now out of danger.
