The Board of Supervisors held a special session to discuss the Richmond sanitary sewer project. During last night’s public hearing held in the Kalona Community Center, affected property owners from Richmond heard from the project developer, Garden and Associates. Many of the nearly 100 in attendance were opposed to the project. Some expressed concern on the testing results which were from several years ago and requested new tests to be done. This securely funded project is scheduled to be completed in November 2012. The Board of Supervisors took no action after last night’s meeting. KCII will monitor the developments of this project and will bring you more information when it becomes official.
