The Riverside City Council once again took a look at the Weapons Free Zone Resolution on Monday. City Administrator Tina Thomas says they received three visitors from outside towns who shared their opinions on the ordinance. Thomas says the men have been going to all the local towns that are looking at doing a resolution for a weapons free zone. She says the men talked about the importance of the second amendment and what the state is doing with the weapons ordinance. Thomas says the council feels like the weapons free zone would be a good thing to put in place but they want to make sure that the state is done “haggling” over the gun issue so for now they are tabling the resolution.
