Sheriff Dunbar has had a busy first week of the year.  He says over the first week of the year, he has issued 189 gun permits.  Dunbar says this number is pretty much what he saw for all of last year.  He notes that he is unclear of how many applications have gone out because of those who can get the form from his office, the Safety Center and download it from the Internet.  Dunbar says he does not see a decrease in applications as time goes on because people will have the permits just because they can.  He says to contact your sheriff’s office if have any questions regarding the new gun law.
