The Iowa High School Athletic Association has released the post season boys basketball groupings. The actual pairings will be released towards the end of the regular season. In the past the state released groupings before the season started but this year they have waited. In 3A, Washington will be grouped with Mount Pleasant, Pella, Fairfield, Fort Madison, Keokuk, Oskaloosa, and Williamsburg. The group will be seeded based on their performance this season in their fifth through fifteen games of the season. Last year Pella beat Mount Pleasant in the semifinals at state, this year it’s clear at least one of them won’t be returning. The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union will be releasing their postseason pairings tomorrow.
