Washington graduates competing in college track and field

A few former Demon track and field athletes were in action at Iowa State’s indoor meet on Saturday. James Libe, who attends Iowa Central in Fort Dodge, palced 9th in the shot put throwing 47′ 11”. Mike Koehler, runs for Wartburg, his 4×4 team finished 9th. He also finished 28th in the open 400 meter dash. Sarah Hess, who runs for Northwestern College out of Orange City, IA, finished 11th in the 5000 meter run which could be good enough to qualify her for NAIA nationals. One other track and field note, Janae Rosein, who competes at Mount Mercy, has been named Mid West Collegiate Track and Field Athlete of the Week, she qualified for nationals in the long jump.
