One of the worst blizzards in decades claimed the life of a Henry County man.  Shortly after 11:00 am Wednesday the Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a Secondary Roads Department employee advising of a body lying in the snow next to a vehicle on 240th Street west of Franklin Avenue, west of Mount Pleasant.  The investigation indicates that 58 year old Wayne Ellis Hendricks, who lives at the end of 240th Street got his truck stuck sometime after 10:00 pm Tuesday night.  It appeared he attempted to dig out the vehicle and was preparing to walk to his home, which was within sight.  It is suspected Mr. Hendricks died of natural causes and no foul play is expected.
