The Executive Director of the Fairfield Economic Development Association and Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce submitted his resignation this week.  Brent Willett told both groups his last day will be Friday, March 11th.   He is leaving to become the Executive Director of the North Iowa Corridor Economic Development Corporation.

Willett says this is a regional economic development partnership including the cities of Mason City, Clear Lake and Cerro Gordo County.  Fairfield Chamber of Commerce President Fred McElwee says Willett “provided excellence in leadership and vision for our community” over the last four years.  McElwee says they have started the search for a new executive director.
