The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys basketball team started the postseason with a very strong team effort against the Highland Huskies last night. In a game heard on KCII, the Golden Hawks started the game on a 13-5 run and led 26-11 at the end of the first quarter. Mid-Prairie’s press gave Highland problems throughout much of the game. The Hawks went in at halftime up by 35 with it 54-18, that would spark the continuous in the second half. The Golden Hawks won 69-22. For Mid-Prairie:

For Highland:
Austin Arnorld 11 points

Afterwards Mid-Prairie Assistant Coach Chris Kern praised the kids unselfish play. The Golden Hawks will now host Iowa City Regina who beat Iowa Valley 65-19.
