The Highland Huskies were at Pekin facing Pella Christian, and the Eagles used three pointers to build a big lead in the second quarter. In a game heard on KCII, it was back and forth in the first quarter with the Huskies taking a 14-13 lead into the second quarter. Midway through the second, Pella Christian created quite a few turnovers with their trapping defense and had four different girls hit threes. The Eagles were up 41-25 at the break and never let up in the second half. The Eagles won 82-49 and improve to 18-4 on the season. They will play Bondurant-Farrar on Friday. Highland had four girls close to double figures with Kayla Schneider had 9 points and went out in the third quarter with an injury, she ran into the bleachers trying to save a ball from going out of bounds. Anna Sweeting had 9 points, Kelsey Doreo 8 points and Ashley Davis had 8 points. The Huskies finish their season 15-9.
