Two rivals meet tonight for the right to go to sub-state. Sigourney and Keota face each other at Mid-Prairie High School. The two schools who share a few athletic programs, split in their two regular season meetings. Keota won in Sigourney in the first meeting 51-30, but the Savages got revenge in Keota winning 54-40. Keota is 21-2 and Sigourney is 20-2. The two teams finished as part of a three way tie with Lynnville-Sully for the South Iowa Cedar Conference championship. The winner of tonight’s game will face the winner of Danville and Burlington Notre Dame. They will play on Saturday at Fairfield. Again that Sigourney-Keota game is at Mid-Prairie High School.
