Washington County residents have one last opportunity for free tax preparation.  Nancy Adrian with the Washington County Extension says Washington County residents who make less than $49,000 per year are eligible for free tax assistance from The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program and the Brighton Horizons Group.  She says the VITA volunteers have completed an IRS training course and have received their certification.

Adrian adds that both your Federal and state returns can be filed electronically.  She says VITA volunteers are available tomorrow from 1:30 to 5:30 pm.  Adrian mentions those who need help with basic income tax returns should call for an appointment.  To find out more information, call the United Way at 211 or call 1-866-469-2211.
