A major winter storm is headed our way and the weather forecast is calling for over a foot of snow.  Weathereye meteorologist Paul Trambley says the low pressure system currently located  over west central Arkansas will bring over a foot of snow accumulation to our area.  He says the significant snow has started to fall will continue into tomorrow and should end around mid-morning.  Trambley says after the snow ends, the winds will increase and could create very hazardous travel conditions tomorrow.  The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for the entire KCII listening area starting at 3:00 this afternoon and remains in effect through noon tomorrow.  KCII will continue to monitor this developing weather situation and stay tuned to KCII for the latest delays and cancellations and also find cancellations and delays on our website, kciiradio.com.
