The Washington City Streets Department is continuing to clear city streets and is reminding residents to be patient. Maintenance Department Supervisor JJ Bell says they are still in the process of removing snow from around the entire city. He is asking residents to be patient as they continue to widen the driving lanes on the streets. Bell says to clear out a path to your mailbox and is also recommending citizens clear out fire hydrants. He is asking everyone to “adopt” a fire hydrant by clearing a perimeter from around the hydrants to create easier access for the fire department.
