Another snow storm is headed to our area. A winter storm will bring moderate to heavy snow to the area from late afternoon through tonight. The snow will spread northeast over the region today reaching areas along and south of Highway 34 by late afternoon. This snow will reach the Interstate 80 corridor counties by early evening and areas farther north by 8pm.
Snow amounts of 5 to 7 inches are expected along and south of Highway 34 with amounts of 3 to 5 inches widespread through an Iowa City to Clinton to Mount Carroll, Illinois line. The exact track of this storm is still a bit uncertain and due to that there is the possibility of a few bands of higher amounts.
The winds will increase to 15 to 20 miles per hour tonight resulting in significant drifting of snow. Stay tuned to KCII for the latest weather forecast regarding this storm.
