The Washington Demon boys track and field team ran at Iowa State’s Indoor in Aimes, and their coach like what he saw. Heading in, Demon Head Coach Steve Roth says he was really wanting to take a look at their 4×1 and the long jump. Running in the 4×1, Jake Redlinger, Parker Turner, Landon Coker, and Anthony Ossman finished 7th out of 94 teams and ran 45.5, which Roth says is outstanding for indoor. And in the long jump Anthony Ossman got 12th jumping 19′ 8″. Roth also says Kyle Cox went under five minutes in the mile. The Demons will next run in Pella at Central College’s indoor meet. Normally Roth takes just his younger kids, but he says this year they don’t plan on running at UNI so he intends to take a few older kids as well.
