The Washington Chamber of Commerce conducted their last Legislative Briefing of the year on Saturday and approximately 20 people were in attendance to hear from Senator Sandy Greiner and Representative Jarad Klein.  They both shared what is happening in their Chambers as well as answered questions from the public on a variety of issues.  One issue dealt with the funding for schools.  Senator Greiner says for school funding, her goal is to “avoid cuts in the middle of the year and would like to guarantee less money throughout the entire year.”

Representative Klein adds that while they can promise allowable growth then don’t provide the funds, he says “that’s not fair, that’s not right.”  Other questions asked were regarding tax cuts and increases, collective bargaining and transportation funding.
