The track and field season is very young, but it looks like already a couple of area teams have lost meets to weather. The Mid-Prairie girls were suppose to open their season at Iowa City Regina last Saturday, but the meet was postponed and Mid-Prairie Head Coach Chris Tyler says they won’t be able to go on the make up date. Also the Keota girls were suppose to run at Belle Plaine yesterday, that meet was also postponed. Eagle Head Coach Dan Stout says the make up date is April 7th, but that is right around their meet at Clear Creek-Amana, and they don’t want to run at meets in consecutive days. Stout says there is another meet later in the month at Belle Plaine that they may try to pick up.
