High school seniors interested in studying agriculture or natural resources in college have a chance for a scholarship.  The Washington Soil and Water Conservation District and the Dean Gerot Family are co-sponsoring the district’s annual scholarship.  Teresa Munn with the Soil and Water Conservation District says these scholarships given to Iowa High School seniors will be used for their first year of college education. 

The winning applicant will receive a $1000 scholarship.  Three scholarships will also be awarded on the state level. 

The deadline for applications is tomorrow and interested high school Seniors living in Washington County can contact their high school guidance office or the Washington Soil and Water Conservation District for more information.
