The Iowa Corn Growers Association has awarded a Washington student a scholarship.  Don Mason, Director of Grower Services says they have awarded 10 scholarships to high school seniors who are pursuing a degree in the agriculture industry.  He says the $500 scholarship is awarded to individuals who are pursuing a degree to help equip them to contribute to the agriculture industry in Iowa.

Jeremy Vittetoe of Washington was chosen based on an essay, application, letter of reference and his current grades and activities.  Mason says the selection committee had many excellent applications to choose from and the students will be recognized at the Iowa Corn Growers Association’s Annual Meeting in August.
