The Iowa State Extension is holding a workshop to explain the new crop insurance policy.  Gene Mohling from the ISU Extension says two Field Economists will be discussing the new policy and options that have replaced the old multiple peril crop insurance policies.  He says other workshop topics will include the proposed good performance premium refund, basic and enterprise units, and grain marketing considerations.

Mohling notes producers will have the oppportunity to choose the proper insurance product, coverage level and revenue guarantee for their operations at the end of the workshop.  The workshop is happening today from 1:00 to 4:00.  The registration is $25 and includes course materials.  For more information contact the Washington County Extension.
