A weekend accident in Louisa County sends two people to the hospital. According to The Iowa Department of Transportation, Daniel Griffin of Columbus Junction was driving southbound on Highway W-66 and failed to yield at the intersection of Highway 92. A FedEx delivery truck driven by William Horn of Moulton, Iowa, struck Griffin’s vehicle.

Both vehicles came to rest in the south ditch along Highway 92. Both Griffin and Horn sustained injuries in the accident and were transported by ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.

The extent of their injuries haven’t been released. Those responding to the accident were the Louisa County Sheriff, Columbus Junction Fire and Rescue and the Iowa State Patrol.
