The Drake Relays will be held later this week and several area athletes will get the chance to compete. For high school students the Drake Relays are an all-star meet with the top athletes from around the state regardless of school classification are invited to the blue track. Many coaches feels aside from going against the best in the state, the biggest gain from qualifying for Drake, is the ability to run on a big stage at the site of the state track meet a few weeks before the state meet.
