As the temperatures are starting to rise, many people start preparing their bicycles to enjoy during the warmer months.  Those bike riding enthusiasts who are up for a challenge have one last chance register for one day bike ride.  Ride Across Iowa in a Day (RAID) is an annual ride and race across Iowa.

The route chosen for this year is about 300 miles in length.  It mainly follows Highway 92 from Council Bluffs through Sigourney, West Chester, Washington, Ainsworth and Columbus Junction en route to Muscatine.

There are also two half rides of 150 miles each for those wanting to participate but may not be ready to attempt the full 300 miles.  This one day race will take place on Saturday May 14th.

The cost is $157 for the full ride and $127 for the half day ride.  The registration deadline is tomorrow.  To learn more about RAID and to register, click here.
