The Washington Demon girls golf team opened their season with an unusual tournament at Keokuk. The unusual part is the scoring format. At the seven team tournament, each teams first two golfers played a normal 18 holes. The next two took the best score between the two on each hole, and the next two played best ball. The Demons ended up winning the tournament with a 359, Mount Pleasant was second with a 387, and Keokuk was third with a 407. For the Demons:
Abby Threlkeld 46-42 88 (she was the runnerup medalist )
Cassy Tussler 48-47 95

The next two teamed up and took the best score from each hole
Shannon Paul/Bright Lumberg 49-44 93

The next two played best ball
Emily Zehr/Jamie Zieglowski 43-40 83
