The ISU Extension is saluting volunteers across the state this week as part of National Volunteer Week.  Washington County 4-H and Youth Coordinator Amy Adrian says they are honoring volunteers by sending out special thank you notes and treats.  Adrian adds volunteers have a tremendous impact on 4-H in Washington County by combining education, communication, leadership and fun.

She notes volunteers are involved in every aspect of the county extension service, including determining the needs of the residents, planning programs, securing resources and evaluating programs.  To hear more about Volunteer Week, listen to today’s Washington Page.
