The City of Washington Maintenance and Construction Department is beginning fire hydrant flushing today.  Maintenance and Construction Supervisor JJ Bell says they anticipate the flushing process to last 10 to 14 days.  He says during the flushing process, residents may experience loss of water pressure, discoloration, rust or a chlorine odor.  If you have any questions regarding the hydrant flushing, contact the Washington Maintenance and Construction Department.
