The Washington County Extension is sponsoring a workshop on food preservation tonight. Nancy Adrian with the Washington County Extension says this class will talk about many topics related to canning. She says the class will talk about pressure canning versus water bath canning, the jar and lid to use, how full to fill the jars, reasons for loss of liquid from jars, how to properly freeze food, and an overview of canning acid and low acid foods.
Adrian adds samples of several foods will be provided. The workshop is $5 and is tonight from 6:30 to 8:00 at the Washington County Extension.
