A two-car accident in Henry County yesterday sends one person to the hospital.  According to the Iowa State Patrol, 52 year old Theodore Hermann of Winfield was traveling westbound on Highway 78 south of Olds.  Hermann was attempting to cross Highway 218 and was struck by 58 year old Daryl Runyon of Hillsboro, Iowa who was driving northbound on Highway 218.

Hermann was transported to Henry County Health Center by Henry County Ambulance and has been charged with failure to yield upon entering a through highway.  Those who assisted with the accident scene were the Henry County Sheriff, Winfield Rescue, and Mt. Pleasant Fire Department.
