Two Iowa Mennonite School students are performing in competitions in Des Moines.  Iowa Mennonite’s Director of Development Larry Swartzendruber says Senior Kylie Miller has advanced to the state level competition in FFA Public Speaking and Senior Brock Brenneman has been selected to sing in the choir at the state level.

Swartzendruber says if Miller’s speech is selected as the top speaker, she will have the opportunity to compete in the national convention.  Brenneman has been chosen to be among other students to sing during the general sessions at the state convention after completing an application and receiving a recommendation for this honor.

The state FFA Convention is taking place in Des Moines April 14th and 15th.
