The Kalona City Council met earlier this week and passed a resolution for temporarily rescinding parking on C Avenue for the quilt show happening at the end of the month.  City Administrator Ryan Schlabaugh says the quilt show is taking place April 29th and 30th and the parking on C Avenue will be for buses.  He says they also passed a resolution approving applications to the Washington County Riverboat Foundation.

Schlabaugh says these applications are requesting a grant to improve the fencing and landscaping at their Babe Ruth fields.  He adds the council heard an update on the Downtown Revitalization Project.

Schlabaugh says the final quilt blocks will be finish being installed this week and banners will be put up next week on light poles in the area.  He says the total number of quilt blocks being installed is 42 and they will have 31 banners on display.
