It turns out the Washington Demon girls track and field team did end up winning the Washington Invite Thursday. Originally when the points were tallied up Benton Community was declared the winner with 126 team points and the Demons second with 122. However it was discovered that an error was made in the totaling. The Demons weren’t given the full amount of team points for winning the 4×4. Once the error was noticed and corrected after the meet, it meant that the Demons actually finished with 129.5 team points and Benton Community ended up with 124.5. The change means the Demon girls win both track and field meets they host this season. They had already won the girls side of the coed meet, the Demon Relays, a couple of weeks ago.
