Road construction work on Highway 78 will restrict traffic to one lane between U.S. 218/Highway 27 near Olds and U.S. 61/Louisa County Road H-22 near Morning Sun beginning Tuesday.  The work is expected to last until Friday, June 3, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Fairfield construction office.  The contractor will be working from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

Flaggers will assist traffic through the work area. An 11-foot width lane restriction will be in place in the open lane.

Normal driving conditions will resume when workers are not present.  The project is being completed by Midwest Contractor’s Incorporated of Cedar Falls, and will cost six hundred thousand dollars.
