US Senator Chuck Grassley held town hall meetings in Sigourney and Riverside earlier this week and those in attendance addressed many concerns.  In Sigourney, 32 people were in attendance and shared issues about corn, EPA funding, flat tax, defunding Planned Parenthood, leaving Iraq and Afghanistan and the national debt.  About 40 people attended the meeting in Riverside and Senator Grassley heard concerns about the budget deficit, Republicans are not strong enough standing against the Democrats, some reforming of Medicare, and EPA regulations.

Senator Grassley says he holds these meetings in every county in the state each year in order to show that “representative government depends on dialog between elected representatives and our constituents.”
