The Washington City Council is meeting in a special session tonight to discuss different city issues.  One item they will be talking about is the City Administrator position.  Current City Administrator Dave Plyman is leaving the end of May for a new position in Rochelle, Illinois.

The Council will also hold a discussion of increases in utility rates.  During this meeting, they will discuss a possible lane change configuration to West Madison Street as well.

The lane change configuration has been proposed by the Iowa Department of Transportation to city residents as well as members of the Washington Streets Committee.  Tonight’s special meeting is at 6:00 in the old public library.
