Three students from Iowa Mennonite School have been accepted into an art competition showcasing young artists.  Larry Swartzendruber, Director of Development at IMS says Elena Gingerich, Katelyn Nisly, and Ida Short have all been accepted into Chait Gallery’s “Next Generation 2011” art competition.  He says this competition is to give young artists an experience in exhibiting and selling in a gallery.

Swartzendruber adds each student had two pieces accepted into the exhibit.  The works are currently on display at the Chait Gallery in Iowa City until May 6th.
