The Washington Tree Committee is having its annual tree giveaway tomorrow. Committee member Marde McConnell says they have 140 varieties and sizes.  She says they have they have about half a dozen varieties that are considered small trees, three or four that considered medium size and two or three that are larger trees.

McConnell says specific information about all of the trees can be found at Washington City Hall and the library.  The Tree Committee encourages everyone to contact Iowa One Call before planting the trees.

The tree giveaway begins promptly at 8:00 tomorrow morning on the square.  McConnell adds this year marks the Committee’s 21st year in giving away trees.
