Washington County 4-H’s largest fundraiser returns this Saturday after an absence in 2020.

The Pancakes & More Breakfast Fundraiser will last from 7-10:30 a.m. in the basement of Dallmeyer Hall at the Washington County Fairgrounds. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and a drink will be served, and dine in or carry out will be available. 4-H/Youth Coordinator Amy Green is excited to be able to hold this event again, which raises funds for the 4-H members’ enrollment fees, “It is honestly just a great timing for spring, people are excited to be out, the weather is always good. It’s one of my most favorite days on the fairground to have so much activity going and it really kind of gears up for summer’s coming and this is what it’s going to be like when the fairground is busy and lots of traffic and activity.”

Green adds that the tables at Dallmeyer Hall will be further spaced out and there will be extra sanitization to mitigate the pandemic. Green thanks volunteer Vicky Fisher who helps make the event possible and all the county’s 4-H clubs that help contribute volunteers for the event. The IJBBA Open Cattle Show sponsored by the Washington County 4-H County Council will also start at 11 a.m. at the fairgrounds, which is free to the public.
