Road construction in Washington County has been delayed because of weather.  Washington County Engineer David Patterson says contractor L.L. Pelling has rescheduled the project on Wayland Road to next week.   He says the closure will be on Wayland Road from Coppock Road to Fern Cliff Road for the construction of paved shoulders.

Patterson notes Coppock Road will be the signed detour route when work begins.  He adds when the paving project begins, it should be completed in approximately three to four weeks depending on the weather.  For more information, contact the County Engineer’s office.
