The Washington County Board of Supervisors approved bids for fuel for the next fiscal year.  During their meeting yesterday morning, Washington County Engineer David Patterson shared that they received two bids for a fuel contract.  He recommended Agriland FS of Washington be awarded the bid of $4345 of a margin price for one year.

Patterson says they will pay market value for the fuel and the suppliers bid a margin price.  He notes they use approximately 200,000 gallons of fuel a year.  Patterson says the price they pay will go up and down, but the margin price will remain the same.

He adds quotes were reviewed for 18 miles of gravel within the county.  River Products is providing 6900 tons of gravel for work near Ainsworth.

Patterson says the amount of this bid is almost $83,000.  The new fuel contracts will take effect July 1st of this year and will remain in effect until June 30th of next year.
