The Washington County Board of Supervisors met yesterday morning and made appointments to two County Boards. The Supervisors appointed Mike Davis who is from the Rubio area to fill the remainder of a term on the County Conservation Board. This position expires the end of this year.
They also appointed Dr. Chris Grier from Kalona to fill a vacancy on the County Board of Health. Dr. Grier’s term is in effect until the end of 2013.
An approval was made to the Secondary Roads Department Iowa Department of Transportation’s budget. County Engineer David Patterson says the budget amendment made at the county level last week caused the amendment to be made at the state level.
He said this is to make the bottom line even.
