Children who are involved with the Washington County Clover Kids have an opportunity to learn about a sheep project through a special mentoring program.  Washington County 4-H and Youth Coordinator Amy Adrian says those interested in the sheep mentoring program will be paired with 4-H children who have experience in the project areas.  She says the Clover Kids meet with their mentor two to three times prior to the Washington County Fair to learn about sheep and how to show them.

Adrian adds the children may learn about the feeding, caring, showmanship and grooming of the sheep.  She says the experience is complete when the mentor and Clover Kid show one of their lambs during the Fair.

Any interested Clover Kid and 4-H mentor needs to sign up by tomorrow by contacting the Washington County Extension.
