An event to raise funds and awareness about Cystic Fibrosis is this weekend in Washington. Team Rev it Up is hosting their second annual 5K run and one mile walk in Central Park. Marcy Stout, Team Leader, says Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited disease that affects the lungs and digestive system and currently effects about 30,000 children and young adults in the country, with almost 250 in southeast Iowa.
Stout says the funds from this race will go toward finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. The event is tomorrow in Central Park with registration starting at 7:00 and the race beginning at 8:00. For more information, contact Marcy Stout at 319-461-0568 or email@example.com.
