An event to raise funds and awareness about Cystic Fibrosis happened this weekend in Washington.  Team Rev it Up hosted their second annual 5K run and one mile walk in Central Park.  Marcy Stout, Team Leader, says 15 runners and walkers showed up in the rain on Saturday in Central Park to raise funds to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.

Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited disease that affects the lungs and digestive system.  Stout says about $300 was raised from this year’s event and adds the race will be held again next year.
