The Washington Demon boys golf team competed in the Fairfield Invite on Saturday and Oskaloosa finally caught them. At an eighteen hole tournament here in Washington the Demons beat Oskaloosa by a stroke to win and in Oskaloosa the Demons beat Oskie by three strokes. Saturday Oskaloosa ended up winning the tournament beating Washington by one stroke. The Indians shot a 315 and the Demons finished with a 316. Demon Head Coach Mark Berhow says they shot 167 on the front nine and then shot their best nine hole score of the season on the back nine with a 149. Individually for the Demons:

The Demons are headed over to Aimes today to play at the course the state tournament is played. Berhow says this is a mini-invite he set up where he invited last year’s state qualifiers to join them for a round. He says a hand full of them had availability in their schedule for it.
