Demon Girls Golf Team Third at Regionals

The Washington Demon girls golf team missed qualifying for state yesterday, but they will send one golfer to state. Playing in Anamosa, the Demons shot 371 to finish third. The top two teams move on. Dubuque Wahlert shot a 343 to win, Grinnell shot 356 for the second spot. The Demons will send Abby Threlkeld to state. She qualified as an individual with an 82 which tied her for third.

The Keota Eagles were also playing in regional action. They were at Belle Plaine, and finished sixth with a 459. Grundy Center won with a 388, and HLV had a 389 to advance to state.
