The Washington Demon softball team opens their season on the road at Columbus. Head Coach Angie Shrader says they graduated five seniors from last year’s team and this year they are fairly young with only two seniors and three juniors but a lot of their sophomores have seen some time playing time. Shrader says as a whole they have a well rounded group with several girls able to play different positions. She also says they have a group that devotes a lot of focus to the sport and have strong aspirations to play at the next level after high school. The Demons are at Columbus tonight and you’ll be able to hear the game tonight weather permitting on the one to count on KCII. We’ll be on the air at around 7:15.
